Anti-Reflective Coating
Anti-reflective coating ("AR") eliminates reflections that can be distracting and cause eye strain. AR is especially helpful for night driving because it reduces glare, starbursts and halos from the headlights of cars in oncoming traffic.
AR also increases visual clarity when driving at night and in the rain. An added benefit is that AR makes your lenses nearly invisible, so people see your eyes rather than your lenses, and, they're much less likely to have glare spots in photographs.
All our lenses come standard with Premium AR. This means you have the best we offer in scratch resistance to protect your lenses from day-to-day wear and tear. Our lenses are coated on the front and back which gives them a much harder surface. Please note, this increases scratch resistance, but does not make lenses scratch-proof! You still need to take care in wearing and storing your glasses.
Our premium AR offers excellent glare reduction. It renders lenses not only easy to clean but stay cleaner longer. It offers enhanced dust and dirt resistance. All our lenses offer UV protection, our premium AR also offers backside UV protection so you're protected from reflections coming from above and behind you.
