Who We Are

Kindred by Design is an alternative to mass-produced, status quo, glasses. By definition, Kindred is a group of related persons. Design is the intentional creation of how something will look, or be made. I’ve linked these two concepts to create a space for people who value a common element: great design in their eyewear.

We carry frames created by designers, brands and craftspeople around the world who care about one thing; their craft. This shows in their choice of materials, shapes, sizes and fit.  Almost all the frames we carry are made by hand. We carry unique products for individuals who appreciate that uniqueness and value excellent design, quality craftsmanship and detail. 

Our virtual store is available online 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You can  shop with us at home in your pajamas with a glass of wine, or from your phone while you wait in a checkout line. I believe that buying glasses should be a stress-free experience. Great frames. No pressure.
